What People Are Saying —

"Choosing Logan as our doula was one of the absolute best choices I made in preparing for the birth of my first baby. She was supportive, encouraging, and exactly the advocate I needed during my pregnancy and my childbirth experience. We wanted someone who knew what the heck they were doing (we’re inexperienced first time parents!) during the process of bringing our baby into the world, and I really wanted someone who would give my amazing spouse the support and reprieve I knew he’d need during the experience- Logan made it happen perfectly! I felt supported and cared for by Logan during pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum. I genuinely don’t have enough words to adequately express the depth of my gratitude for her! If you’re thinking “Do I *really* need a doula? My partner will be there for me!”, YOU AND YOUR PARTNER NEED LOGAN. My husband is a first responder, a former army combat medic, and an absolute gem of a human- I knew he could handle supporting me during childbirth, but I also knew that he’d be so busy supporting me that he wouldn’t think of himself. BOOM. ENTER LOGAN. She was there for me when he took (much deserved) quick snack break, and made sure that he was able to feel cared for too as he became a dad. There were parts of the birthing process that I frankly didn’t want my husband there for- BOOM. LOGAN AGAIN. Her positivity, encouragement, humor, and constant attention made the biggest challenge of my life so much better.”

“Being pregnant/giving birth is stressful enough but adding the craziness of 2020 amplified those feelings 100%. Growing a baby is tiring and everything becomes exhausting. I’m traditionally a “googler,” type of gal but as my body was growing the little person I had zero desire to do any of that. Even if I did, there was endless sources of overwhelming information online.

Joy became my google. She was my go to person whenever I had any crazy question. She never made me feel silly for asking some of the most basic questions. She was always very thorough and so close by despite us never having the opportunity to meet in person. Joy has this calmness about her that made it so easy for me to open up to her. She walked me through all my pregnancy concerns and helped me develop a delivery plan despite her not being able to physically be there because of COVID.

Joy is awesome and gives off such positive energy. I would definitely recommend her to any mamas out there! Thanks Joy!”

Doula support for powered births.

“Expectant mothers matched with a doula had better birth outcomes. Doula-assisted mothers were four times less likely to have a low birth weight (LBW) baby, two times less likely to experience a birth complication involving themselves or their baby, and significantly more likely to initiate breastfeeding.”
